The Lake
Grand Lac Rond is situated in Quebec's greater Outaouais region within the municipalities of Bouchette and Ste-Thérèse-de-la-Gatineau just south of Maniwaki and just north of Gracefield, our lake is easily accessible yet beautifully remote.

​Natural Geography
The Grand Lac Rond covers 570 hectares has a north-south shape and consists of two large bodies of water constricted in the center by a narrow water corridor. The Grand Lac Rond watershed is part of the Thirty-One Mille lake chain and included in the Gatineau River watershed.
As a point of pride, Grand Lac Rond holds an Ultra-Oligotrophic classification, the highest water quality rating awarded by the Government of Quebec, as determined by a 2011 study of lakes, with only 1.7% maintaining this classification.

Community
The lake is surrounded by 450 residences, made up of a mixture of cottages, campgrounds, and rentable chalets.

In 2012, a study was commissioned on the presence of red algae in the lake, this study became a fascinating insight into the lake itself, reviewing everything from the topology of the area, its watershed, its history, its dams and much more. You can read this report here .
